A medicinal tea has created quite a stir in Canada since it was first introduced in 1922 by nurse Rene Caisse. She claimed it to be (as did other medical professionals of her day), a cure for cancer. The history behind Rene's tea involves the Ojibwa Indians, many medical professionals, the Canadian Government, and thousands of terminally ill cancer patients. This DVD movie contains actual footage of Rene Caisse. To the best of our knowledge there is no other video footage of Rene in existence. Considering that this footage of Rene Caisse was filmed in her home in the late 1970's, the footage is remarkably clear and sharp with vivid color.

This DVD video is well worth the money. It gives the history of the formula, including a reenactment of Rene and the elderly woman in the hospital. Rene tells you her version of the persecution she faced in trying to legalize her tea. It also shows her 90's birthday party, with buses of people arriving to pay tribute to her.
There is also a scene in her kitchen in which she is making the formula. She uses spoonfuls of this and that, without identifying the herbs by name. The movie was made the year of her death, but she is amazing for her age and it is hard to believe that she is 90 years old. You get the picture of a very kindly woman who still has a sense of humor. The video also introduces several of the people whom she cured, telling of their experiences and of their faith in Rene's Tea.
